Leo’s Plumbing & Heating Ltd. in Vancouver: Our History
Leo Lambropoulis dreamed of starting his own business as a young boy growing up in Greece in the 1940s. After working with tradesmen around Athens and moving to South America to learn the plumbing business, Leo apprenticed under various plumbing companies in Vancouver starting in 1957 and gained his journeyman ticket. Here he made his dream a reality, founding Leo’s Plumbing & Heating Ltd. in 1970.
Our Vancouver Locations
Leo’s first location in 1970 was 10th and Alma, where he stayed for 6 years. At that point he moved to the first of 2 locations on Broadway, the first at Dunbar and the second at Collingwood in 1984. In 2000, he bought the building at 3644 4th Avenue W, where Leo’s Plumbing & Heating Ltd. is still located. He then stocked the new location with everything his technicians and customers required.
Long-time Staff
The long-time staff at Leo’s is knowledgeable, helpful and knows how to get the job done. Mickey, Eddie, Shawn and Aaron are part of Leo’s team, and Calvin has been with Leo’s for over 30 years!
Constantly Updating
In 2007-09, the building underwent a small renovation, adding a new stock room and a display of faucets and fixtures. Currently we have expanded to a fleet of 5 service trucks and 1 parts truck. As the only plumbing parts store in the Kitsilano area, Leo's plans to be around well into the future to provide service and parts to our loyal customers. Call us anytime.
